What is Executive Coaching?
Executive Coaching is the difference that makes the difference.
Executive coaching consists of a series of one-to-one conversations that are designed to raise an executives's performance at work and help them to tap into their true potential. These focused conversations will help them raise self awareness and take responsibility for achieving meaningful outcomes.
The executive coaching process will often have the effect of enabling coachees to utilise their key strengths more and overcome weaknesses or limiting behaviours. It also helps to align the personal objectives of the individual with those of the business, which leads to increased motivation and improved business results.
Emotional intelligence is twice as important an ingredient of outstanding performance as cognitive ability and technical skill combined -according to a recent article in Harvard Business review.
Executive Coaching helps improve Emotional Intelligence, and thereby success!
What makes Inspiring Potential executive coaching so effective?
Our Coaching process
Our Inspiring Performance coaching programme typically consists of six face to face sessions with an Executive coach (2hr or 4hr sessions) as well as additional telephone and email contact. The stages of a typical programme are outlined below.
Firstly we assume that people are aware at some level (often subconsciously) of the factors that might be holding them back from success or happiness. The executive coach's job is to bring this information into conscious awareness. It is often the case that clients may have 'avoided' addressing these issues for a very long time. By bringing them to awareness they are then in a position to get more control over their unwanted behaviours and take accountability.
Secondly, we help the executive take accountability for their development.Hekp them design and implement the action plan required to develop the knowledge or skills required.
Thirdly, the executive coaching process is 'forward looking'. Some discussion time is given to the past where appropriate, but the bias of the conversation is toward the present and the future i.e. what is happening now and what needs to happen next in order to get from A to B?
